POST FALLS, ID – The Northwest Sprint Tour continues its 2025 season with the series’ inaugural stop at Mode Stadium Stateline Speedway in Post Falls, Idaho for the Sneva Family Memorial Saturday, May 31st. Over 20 Winged Sprint Cars are expected to do battle for the 11th edition of an event that honors one of the most famous names in open wheel racing in the Pacific Northwest.
The Sneva Family Memorial pays tribute to the likes of late family patriarch Ed Sneva, who started racing Super Modifieds in the 1950’s, as well as Ed’s sons Babe, who died from injuries suffered in a racing crash in Cranbrook B.C. in 1976 and Jerry Sneva, who was named Indianapolis 500 Rookie-of-the-Year in 1977 and passed away in 2018. Jerry was also CAMRA Super Modified champion in 1974.

For 2025 the race will be co-sanctioned between the Inland wing sprints iws and the Northwest Sprint Tour, bringing together two of the Northwest’s top pavement Sprint Car series. Entering the weekend Jeff Montgomery leads the NST point standings after resetting the Evergreen Speedway 3/8ths track record with an 12.713 second lap. Montgomery finished second in the main event to Evan Margeson Racing, with the RZ 57 set to also make the tow to Stateline sitting second in points and $7500 richer after scoring the inaugural Granite Construction Can/Am Shootout.

Aaron Willison is the track record holder at Stateline Speedway, with the Rendle Willison 14 setting the track record at an 11.234 last September and taking out the main event win by nearly a lap over the rest of the field. Willison sits sixth in the point standings after a rough opening night at Evergreen after two separate incidents and will look to close the championship gap early in the season.

Cody Ridge scored a third place run at the season opening Granite Construction Can/Am Shootout, with the Snohomish Washington based racer coming into Stateline with a main event win under his belt in Inland Winged Sprint Car competition last season. Ridge will look to use his Stateline knowledge to put the Newman Racing near the front of the field.
In addition to Montgomery, Margeson, Willison and Ridge and the rest of the NST regulars, there will be several Stateline Speedway staples such as Spokane’s TJ Sneva, who won the season opening IWS race, Levi Rose, Greg Ochs and Adam Smith and more.
