After a five plus year layoff from Sprint Car racing Darren Yates is back in the world of pavement Winged Sprint Cars. The two-time WILROC Winged Sprint Car champion and Victoria Auto Racing Hall of Fame inductee returned with his new ride at the Open Wheel Showdown at the Bullring at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway and managed a top ten run in his first race since 2019.
Yates has also raced and won in everything from Demo Trucks at Western Speedway to IMCA Modifieds and will look to challenge for the top spot in his first year with the Northwest Sprint Tour.
