Willison and Ginn take home Saratoga NST wins

The Northwest Sprint Tour paid its first visit of the season this past weekend to Black Creek, British Columbia’s Saratoga Speedway for the Quinsam Communications Sprint Car Classic.

Night one started with Willy Ginn leading the field to the green flag with Ron Larson on the outside of the front row. Ginn jumped out to the early lead with Larson slotting in behind. Ginn had a sizeable lead, but Larson was able to close the gap in lap traffic before the first yellow flag of the main event would come out for James Miller, who spun coming off of turn three.

The next attempt at a restart would see Stewart Lee spin going into turn one, setting up a single file attempt at going back green. This time the leader Willy Ginn would spin off of turn two, giving Ron Larson the race lead. Larson and Aaron Willison would battle side-by-side for the next five laps, with Willison eventually getting out front to claim his first main event win of 2025.

On Saturday Tom Weston would lead the field to the green flag with Willy Ginn starting alongside. Ginn nabbed the lead coming off of turn four on the opening lap and opened up a big lead before the race’s only yellow flag would come out on lap 11 for Ryan Willison, who spun in turn two. Ginn would walk away from the rest of the field to lead the entire main event and to become the youngest Northwest Sprint Tour winner.

The next Northwest Sprint Tour race is July 26th at Agassiz Speedway for their second ever Northwest Sprint Tour race.
